Expertise over capacity
The scarce asset is senior, independent expertise, not staffing. We bring the counsel, not the headcount.
A boutique executive advisory firm providing high-trust counsel at the intersection of leadership, reputation, and high-stakes communications.
Leaders face more frequent, more public, and less forgiving reputational moments than ever before, and the usual options are poorly matched to them. Agencies sell staffing. In-house teams are built for steady state. What is scarce is senior, independent expertise, delivered with discretion.
Kingfisher Partners advises chief executives, boards, institutions, and public figures through the defining moments of their public lives: crises, transitions, investigations, and reckonings, when the wrong call is public, permanent, and expensive. Every engagement is led personally, held to a single point of accountability, and kept in strict confidence.
The scarce asset is senior, independent expertise, not staffing. We bring the counsel, not the headcount.
Every engagement is led personally by the principal. You work with the advisor, not a rotating team.
We do not publicize our clients or our work. Our best work is the story you never heard.
We advise leaders as equals, in the room, through the moments that define them.
Standing counsel to leaders and boards on the decisions that carry reputational weight: positioning, high-stakes choices, and the long arc of standing.
Narrative strategy and message architecture for institutions navigating scrutiny, transition, or transformation, with clarity when it matters most.
Embedded, senior-led counsel when a situation is public, fast-moving, and unforgiving, from the first forty-eight hours through resolution.
Kingfisher Partners is led by Goldie Taylor, a veteran journalist and media executive, global brand marketer, and political strategist. Over a near-forty-year career, she has been of-counsel to Fortune 500 CEOs, heads of state, global NGO leaders, and university presidents.
She has led reputation and brand campaigns for iconic organizations, including Procter & Gamble, AT&T, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Bloomberg Philanthropies, NBC Universal and CNN Worldwide. She has been an on-air analyst and contributor for NBC, MSNBC, CNN, the BBC, and NPR.
A political operative who has won at every level of government, Taylor is a prior service active-duty Marine where she trained in public affairs. She studied public policy and international affairs at Emory and Harvard Universities, and is a Leadership & Society Fellow at University of Chicago.
Clients engage Taylor for the experience gained from having sat on every side of the story, and the discretion of someone who protects the confidences that never reached the page.
When our institution faced a moment that could have defined it for the wrong reasons, Goldie was the first call and the steadiest presence in the room. She saw around corners the rest of us could not, and she protected both the truth and the people carrying it.
I have worked with the finest communications counsel in the country, and none has matched her instinct for the story or her absolute discretion. She tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to, and she is invariably right.
In our world, everyone claims to understand the press. Goldie has actually sat in every chair: reporter, executive, strategist. Her counsel is precise, her read of a situation is exact, and nothing we discussed ever left the room.
Kingfisher engagements begin with an introduction and an unhurried conversation. If you are facing a moment where strategy, reputation, and leadership have become inseparable, reach us directly.
